Some species of crabs get nutrients from hydrothermal vents. Those vents release metals that are toxic to most living things, but those species simply adapted to circumstances out of that. You, unfortunately, can’t do that. Those nutrients have to come from somewhere.
So why waste time, money and effort on food when you can just buy a whole bag of gorilla chow. We’re all apes anyways.
It’s pretty flavourless and hard to chew, but you don’t care that much about the taste of food in the first place. It also makes chicken look cheap by comparison, especially if we’re talking about a giant bag of protein with a side of sawdust.
