Mantis shrimp have 12 photoreceptors while humans have only 3. See? You are nothing compared to a shrimp.
If the process of tube formation was just a bit faster you would pour all of it into shrimp colours. It’s called simple adapting to circumstances.
You totally would if it all was true. It was easy to assume having more receptors meant they could see more colours, but it only meant shrimp sucked at processing them. A human, looking at something purple, has red and blue receptors stimulated, which arranges that information into purple. A shrimp that just has a separate purple receptor for that.
Doesn’t make it less nice to imagine though.
>> Whatever. Shrimp colours aren’t even real.
